Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, during a visit to Islamia University Bahawalpur, launched the Honhaar Scholarship Program for the Bahawalpur Division. 1. Honhaar Scholarship Program
- Scholarships will be awarded to students from 30,000 government schools and 10,000 private schools across Punjab.
- 18,000 female students will benefit from the program, encouraging greater female participation in education.
2. Laptop Scheme Updates
- The first shipment of laptops has arrived and will be distributed shortly.
- The scheme will prioritize deserving students, with a focus on minority students and academic high achievers.
- 2,000 laptops will be given to students from minority communities.
- Top-performing students from Matriculation and Intermediate (F.Sc) examinations will also receive laptops and a Guard of Honour.
3. Specifications of the Laptops
- The laptops provided under the Honhaar Laptop scheme will be 13th-generation Core i7 models, ensuring access to the latest technology for academic purposes.
4. Timeline for Distribution
- On November 20, CM Maryam Nawaz directed officials to complete the laptop distribution process within 90 days to ensure timely delivery to deserving students.
